S2S Stage Makeup Method: Step 2 – Eyes

Making the eyes look as large as possible is always your prime goal because when your eyes are larger the audience can see the emotions on your face much more clearly.

Here are two easy-to-apply eye shadow patterns:

S2S V-Crease Eye Pattern

Eye shadow pattern 1

  • Eyelid: a medium-toned, earthy, neutral tone eye shadow – a pale pink, beige, or golden cream color eye shadow
  • Crease: a dark, earthy, neutral tone eye shadow – a chocolate brown, or black eye shadow in a sideways “V” shape at the outer edge of the eye.
  • Brow bone/inner corner of the eye: a light, highlighter eye shadow color – white matte or shimmer eye shadow – applied to the brow bone and inner corner of the eye for brightness.
  • Upper Lash Line: Black eye liner across top lash line.
  • Lower Lash Line: Brown liner under lower lash line from middle of eye out past the outer corner of the eye. Do not connect upper lash liner and lower lash liner at the outer corner of the eye. Leave an open space and fill in with white highlighter eye pencil.
  • Inside Water Line: White eye liner along the inside water line of the eye makes the whites of the eyes will make the eyes look bigger and brighter
  • Apply False Lashes and 2 coats of water-resistant, black mascara to upper lash line ONLY

Quick JAM Tip: Blend. Blend. Blend! Try to blend away any blotchy, spotty areas or harsh lines on the eyelids.

  • Eyelid: a dark, earthy, neutral tone eye shadow – a chocolate brown, or black – applied darkest at the lash line and gradually fades as it passes over the crease.
  • Crease: a medium, earthy, neutral tone eye shadow – a pale pink/peach, beige, or golden cream color blends with dark contour color.
  • Brow bone/inner corner of the eye: a light, highlighter eye shadow color -  a white matte or shimmer eye shadow – on the brow bone and inner corner of eye for brightness.
  • Upper Lash Line: Thick black liner across top lash line.
  • Lower Lash Line:  Brown liner under lower lash line from middle of eye out past the outer corner of the eye.  Do not connect upper lash liner and lower lash liner at the outer corner of the eye.  Leave an open space and fill in with white highlighter eye pencil.
  • Inside Water Line:  White eye liner along the inside water line of the eye makes the whites of the eyes look bigger and brighter.
  • Apply False Lashes and 2 coats of water-resistant, black mascara to upper lash line ONLY.
